  • What levels of Excel do you teach?
I offer lessons for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced users. Whether you're just starting with Excel, looking to improve your skills with intermediate functions like PivotTables and VLOOKUP, or aiming to master advanced techniques like Macros, VBA, Power Query, and Power Pivot, I can tailor lessons to your needs.
  • What software do I need for the lessons?
You'll need a computer with Microsoft Excel installed. I recommend using the latest version of Excel (Microsoft 365) to access all features, especially advanced tools like Dynamic Arrays and Power Query. If you're using an older version, some features may be limited, but I can adjust the lessons accordingly.
  • How are the lessons conducted?
Lessons are conducted online via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or any other preferred video conferencing tool. This allows for screen sharing and real-time collaboration, so I can guide you through Excel tasks step by step. If you're local, in-person sessions can also be arranged.
  • Can the lessons be customized to my specific needs?
Absolutely! I tailor each lesson to meet your specific goals. Whether you're preparing for an Excel exam, tackling a particular workplace challenge, or working on a university project, I will customize the content to ensure you get the most out of our sessions.
  • How long are the lessons, and how many do I need?
Each lesson typically lasts 1 hour, but this can be adjusted based on your availability and preference. The number of lessons needed depends on your current skill level and goals. After an initial assessment, I can recommend a lesson plan that fits your needs, whether it’s a single session for a specific issue or a series of lessons for comprehensive learning.
  • Do you offer group lessons or corporate training?
Yes, I offer group lessons for small teams, as well as corporate training sessions tailored to your company’s needs. These sessions can cover a wide range of topics, from basic Excel skills to advanced data analysis techniques, ensuring that all participants gain valuable insights.
  • What if I have a specific Excel problem to solve?
If you have a specific issue or project that you need help with, I can provide focused support during our sessions. We can work together to troubleshoot the problem, develop a solution, and ensure you understand the process, so you can apply similar solutions in the future.
  • Do you provide learning materials?
Yes, I provide all the necessary learning materials, including practice files, templates, and step-by-step guides. These resources are designed to reinforce what we cover during the lessons and give you hands-on experience with Excel.
  • What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
I understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. This allows me to adjust my schedule and offer the slot to another student. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a fee, depending on the circumstances.
  • How do I book a lesson?
Booking a lesson is easy! You can contact me directly through the "Contact" page on my website, or use the booking form to schedule a session at your convenience. I’ll get back to you promptly to confirm the details.
  • What can I expect in the first lesson?
In the first lesson, we'll discuss your goals, assess your current skill level, and create a customized learning plan. We’ll also dive into some practical exercises right away, so you can start gaining new skills from the very first session.
  • Can I get a certificate after completing the lessons?
While I don’t provide formal certifications, I can certainly offer a completion letter summarizing the skills and topics covered during our sessions. If you’re interested in earning a recognized certification, such as the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel certification, I can help you prepare for the exam.
